Cat on a Snug Tin Roof

Observers observed.

 

Again, negative long gone. iPhone re-photograph of old 10x8" print from Kodak Plus X negative taken with Olympus 35SP.

 

Views like this are much less common in the back lanes of inner Melbourne today than they were in the 1970s, before gentrification and before cats lost favour due to their effects on native animals. Remembering only from where and in what direction I set out the day of this shot, I recently hunted the location down on Google Maps. Today the lefthand dwelling (with the darker iron roof) has solar panels and a brick wall onto the laneway.

 

Probably wishful seeing, but always fancied there was a hint of balance in the crossing over of parallels within the chaos...
