FTI Model 2347999XX "Ego"
In the underground world, everyone knows the infamous and mysterious engineer that goes by the name Venus. Rumor has it, she was once the child prodigy taken in as a protege who worked for Fujita Tech, and her brilliance made her peers furious with jealousy, until she was betrayed and exiled from the company.. and now, she assumes the identity "Venus" and sells high-tech weaponry to anyone with pockets deep enough to buy planetary estates.
Recently, Venus made an appearance in the event of Surtr's Folly. During that time, FTI sent an mercenary brigade carrying medical and arsenal supplies, as means to secretly exploit newly discovered resources in Helmouth. Unbeknownst to the brigade leader, Venus infiltrated the group as a tech personel.
The operation had spanned for 3 Terran weeks, and during that time, Venus was uncovering what kind of "arsenal" supply FTI brought this time, which turned out to be a set of power walker suits, classified armament strongbox, and of course, dozen smaller strongboxes containing firearms, grenades, and Rapid-Regen syringes. After laying out her plan, she grabbed a box of supply, docked the armament strongbox into a power walker, and made her exit.
The merc company alerted FTI Enforcement Division Command, and they dispatched a powerful search-and-retrieve squad, but it was too late. After 10 days of intensive searching, they finally found Venus' last known signature, and discovered a broken-down R1 power walker. Next to it, the classified armament strongbox opened - one FTI Kōtta Hoshi which was "vandalized".
A brand was laser-engraved on the weapon's body, which resembles the word "Ego". With accessories replaced with available FTI weapons, and shrunk down weapon furniture, Venus seemed to have had her fun tinkering with her toy. Further inspection of the weapon indicates that the Kotta Hoshi kinetic accelerator was repurposed to charge the liquid substance feeding the weapon, which now sprays the crystal in a toroidal fashion.
Upon success retrieval, scientists conducted intensive testing to determine the weapon's capabilities. The liquid now discharges into a spinning torus formation, which can accelerate further and expand mid flight. However, the expansion of the torus seems to stop after flying roughly 68 meters. Field testing techs concluded the torus can accelerate up to 1200m/s.
Another interesting feature is that Venus seems to have rigged the kinetic engine with some sort of heat overcharger she fabricated - meaning that whoever tries to dismantle the weapon, will also detonate it with a brutal explosion.
This weapon is currently secured in an undisclosed high security FTI research vault. Waiting for the right hand to come and steal it.
