Palm nuts

Rat gnawed nuts of the extinct Easter Island Palm (in fact one of several extinct Easter Island palms) (left) and the Chilean Palm, Jubaea Chilensis (right). Easter Island palm nuts are very similar to but larger than those of the Chilean Palm. These are from the Katherine Routledge collection in the Pitt-River's Museum, Oxford. The Chilean palm nuts are from the Parque Nacional La Campana.
