L'Écho des mines et de la métallurgie, Saint-Étienne, Paris, 1923-05-20: Société des charbonnages du Tonkin; Five SACM 24-tonne, 750-volt, 110hp electric locomotives were acquired in 1928 for the 11km réseau de Campha (Cẩm Phả) line.

L'Écho des mines et de la métallurgie, Saint-Étienne, Paris, 1923-05-20: Société des charbonnages du Tonkin. —The provision of an important set of electro-mechanical equipment was also entrusted to Société Alsacienne de Construction Mécaniques (SACM) by the Société Française des Charbonnages du Tonkin. This equipment is intended for the electrification of its Hongay mines and comprises: four groups of 1200 kVA turbo-alternators with corresponding distribution boards; four converter groups of 250 kW, transformers of various substations; and electric motors intended for the equipment of various machines in the Hongay mines and their ancillary installations. In the latter material are in particular: five 1m gauge electric locomotives of 24 tons, and 30 motors for equipping 4 port gantries, 3 stock gantries and 4 electric scoops.
