How was CBD Discovered?

Robert Cahn of Great Britain first discovered cannabinoids; he reported the first partial structure of a cannabinol. He identified the fully formed cannabinol in 1940. Roger Adams made a real difference to the cannabis industry in 1942 when he isolated the first cannabinoid, now commonly known as cannabidiol or CBD. After discovering CBD as a chemical structure, which propelled the idea of the plant being used for medicinal purposes, this was evident in mid-1970’s, in Great Britain, where the British Pharmacopoeia even releasing a licensed tincture for therapeutic use, that contained CBD. cutt.ly/gfgbOw4
