Back to the future

Since Canova designed his firsts villas, everyone understood and recognised his greatness. In fact, beginning from sculpture and ending up in this beautiful form of art (architecture), he managed to gain respect even from the richest people. Thanks to those works on order his fame grew so much that his artistic style became a sort of an eternal status symbol for noblemen. However, in the end of his life, he wanted to build a church for his own native town, too, called Tempio Canoviano, which is here best represented in one of his greatest views (from the side).
