Beneath the Canopy

This photo was captured after lots of experimenting with angles, waiting on clouds to obscure the sun... Even waiting for the sun to move. Patience is important in photography, as is accepting that sometimes you're going to taker a spill into a creek. As it is, this is the first time in the day that I stepped on something less than solid during this day. The ground beneath my feet was actually hollow. I knew it might be, but I chanced it to get into a better overall position. In the end I was standing bellow the actual pond, in the patch of the creek. I didn't get drenched here, but I wasn't dry. That being said, I would of posted this photo sooner, however, I couldn't get the colors right. Nor the proper focal length, so I spent the last few days altering the photo slowly, trying my best to select versions that would have the least amount of image degradation with each slight adjustment. Even still, this photo has some leaf ghosting that you may spot.
