Smoke Along the Mountains
So, the controlled burn the forest service was undertaking created a massive plume of smoke. I spent as much time trying to find the fires, as I tried to find a place where it would look best with the lighting. I tried doing this shot as segments, but I found in this case a Panorama was the best. I spent over an hour up here trying different compositions, but what i settled on was the full valley. This is about four miles from Devils Courthouse. I did scout some new, and interesting locations for future shots.
ISO: 160
Aperture: f16
SS: 1/30th
Focal: 16mm
Shot with the Haida m10 CPL to help bring out the depth of the sky.
