Bones of the Earth
So, I'm waiting for sunset, focused in on my scene... The Fog started to break, but only for a breath, and nothing else shown through the mist. I did what any responsible photographer would do, and recomposed the scene. I went from grand scale, to local environment. This boulder was around 20, or 25 feet tall, right on the edge of the road. I did my best to try different focal lengths, perspectives, and decided at last to shoot it in portrait orientation. Focus stacked, and switched to B&W to help really show the contrast. I don't often use B&W but sometimes a scene looks better this way.
ISO: 160
Aperture: f5
SS: 1/2 sec
