SWAINSON'S HAWK

This is my first time to get a photo of a Swainson's even though they are typically found in the West. According to Sibley, this is a dark morph.

 

In fall, they take off for Argentine wintering grounds—one of the longest migrations of any American raptor—forming flocks of hundreds or thousands as they travel. (Cornell)
