Next to the tall building is the Atlas Building, 145 City Road. The angular building to the left produces something of a geometrical illusion and is the Montcalm Hotel. I find the architecture quite fascinating. The red brick building is Imperial hall.
When we caught the tube at Bank having walked from Monument the weather above ground was wet to say the least but reaching street level at Old Street station everything was bathed in clear spring sunshine, hence the deep blue sky which was an amazing contrast.
