São Bento Station
Porto, Portugal. Designed by the architect José Marques da Silva in the first decade of the 20th century, the station serving as a terminus is located in the historic center of Porto. The panels of azulejo tile were designed and painted by Jorge Calaco and completed around 1916. The murals are of moments in the country's history while the upper multicolored panels show rural scenes.
What cannot be seen from this angle is the hordes of passengers thronging in the stations concourse. A very busy station.
