Fluxed up before tacking the downtube into the bottom bracket. Tubes are set on the alignment table for a flat surface to align the bottom bracket faces to. A surface gage is used to test the faces of the bottom bracket in relation to the alignment table surface. a sheet of 1/8inch plate will protect the bench and the table from the flame while tacking.
