This piece is from the Cleveland Museum of Art's Romanesque and Gothic Galleries and it is found in the collection 111 German and Austrian Gothic. It is made of Gilt silver and filigree enamel with dimensions; 24.6 cm (9 11/16 in.) From the time period c. 1450-1480 in Hungary, Budapest, 15th century. They are called Chalice and Paten and are used at the alter when the priest distributes Eucharistic bread and wine during mass. Gemstones where put on the chalice for decoration.
