Don't turn your back on the ocean!
This was a completely unplanned shot taken with my i-phone a couple of years ago in a cove off Cape Schanck - a notoriously dangerously stretch of ocean on the southern tip of the Australian mainland. The tide was out on a cold, but relatively calm day and the sea was flat. I was scouring the rocks for crabs, blue ring octopus and star fish, when a freak wave crashed across the rocks. I hurriedly scampered onto a nearby boulder, reaching for my phone with the rushing sea water lapping at my ankles. I managed to reel off a couple of rushed snap shots, narrowly avoiding disaster.
Lesson learned - respect mother nature and don't turn your back on the ocean!
