Jesse Greene. Making a name for herself in the Bluesworld

Jesse Greene, an Ottawa unwilling gift to Toronto, is becoming a household name. Unlike other names from Ottawa (seat of parliament), it is pronounced with reverence rather than disdain. Jesse is easy going, happy with recognition. Just recently she guested again at Grossman's, joining the Sunday Traditional New Orleans band. She shown of her guitar chops and a unique (hints of Janice Joplin) voice. Jesse moved to Toronto for more gig opportunities. Her skills impressed the well respected veterans Terry Wilkins on bass and Al Cross on drums, so, that they became sidemen in her trio. The photo from her performance at Nov. 2024 Amy Louie Grossman's music scholarship, which she won.

Her bassist was on the occasion was Leo Valvassori, as Wilkins, was unavailable. She often plays with Jay Bleus, but I have to yet see them play together.
