The South African jazz musician is not well known in these parts of the world, but he plays for last 20 years in his home country and at European music festivals. Ndu clearly enjoys himself when he is playing. Advertised everywhere as a quartet, it was just him, drummer and bassist.
I asked for 25% of the ticket to be refunded, but he explained, that he is being helped by superior being, whom we do not see but is omnipresent. (fine excuse)
For some reason I always have to look up the spelling of his name. Ndu clearly enjoys himself when he is playing and so did his band mates: Zwelakhe-Duma Bell le Pere - Bass (Johannesburg/ New Haven/ now NYC) and Francisco Mela – Drums (Cuba/Boston). The Omnipresent did not show any emotions.
