The Drummer was on fire at the Drom.
Drom Taberna is becoming my weekly haunt. The place is very poorly lit in weird blue and purple colours which really discourage photography. It is fine during the afternoon, as light pours in the west window, but good jazz usually happens later at night. The drummer spot, usually in the back and dark, was relatively well lit on this occasion. Lowell Whitty is not famous, but respected drummer with 'Heavyweights' and other groups. His twin brother Gram plays usually bass, but I have only seen them play together only once or twice. Their dad Brian is a guitar player and brother Leland is a sax player.

Nelson is a small town of 10,000 people in BC. Who would think the have a drum store. (just a reference to Lowell's t-shirt)
