Hunslet 3818 was built in 1954 for NCB Fife area, working at a number of pits before arriving at Comrie in 1971. It was one of the last locos overhauled at NCB Cowdenbeath Central Workshops when it gained the corporate blue and yellow livery. By the early 1980s it was spare to hired in class 08s but saw occasional use including this enthusiasts day on 9th April 1982. When Comrie closed in the mid 1980s it headed for preservation by the SRPS at Bo’ness.
