See through Class 11
A visit to the opencast coal mine operated by Derek Crouch at Widdrington on 29th March 1981.
One of their two ex-BR class 11 shunters is seen with the engine out for overhaul. This is the former D12093, sold into industrial service in 1971 when withdrawn from BR and operated here until 1988 when it and classmate D12052 moved northwards for preservation at the Caledonian Railway at Brechin.
