According to Kew Gardens' Plants of the World Online catalogue, the blue passionflower is native to Northern Argentine, Bolivia Brasil (the North-East, South and Soud-East of the country) and Paraguay. However, it has been introduced and subsequently naturalised in many other countries, ranging from Albania, the Azores to Bangladesh and Nepal, from California, and other parts of South America to Hawaï, and many other parts of Asia to Australia.
