A large 469 piece BJPL puzzle cut in 1968. It is called “ Kichen.Catastrophe” and I only worked out why after I had completed the puzzle and saw the upturned flour barrel and a mouse delighted to be under the ensuing flour waterfall .
The colour line cutting is absolutely exquisite making it a difficult push-fit puzzle to complete, seemingly full of circles and giving no clue whatsoever to the eventual image. The circles eventually turned out to be eggs, an apple, onion, cheese with yet more round holes etc.
Who cut it I don’t know . It has many of the hallmarks of Eric Bond, but whether he was still cutting in 1986 I don’t know. Carolyn Beves was still running the Library then from Blackheath and had a number of good cutters working for her. If my one cn pin the cutter down I would be delighted.
