The Gazuman Heads

Pictured left to right; Gelgoth the Allfather, King Zurgoth and Fairoc

These three individuals are the leaders of the now isolated kingdom of Gazum. King Zurgoth has been in power since 30BV, which was the year his father died of melancholy, a rare condition amongst the rather robust Gazuman. Zurgoth's rule has been a time of transition from imperial ambitions to crafting a stout defence. He is a sombre old Dwarf who is said to not have smiled in a millennia. His weapons are his most prized possessions. His trident was crafted from the finest gold the southern mines had to offer and it has been used to slay all kinds of foes. His sword was once in the possession of the captain of the Vieran King Toredenas' Royal Guard, whom he killed in single combat during the war for Attenor in 50BV. His ambitions are unclear, but his desire for the reestablishment of his race is strong. The loss of all female dwarves to the Grey Plague still haunts him to this day.

Gelgoth "the Allfather" is the one and only son of King Zurgoth. He was born shortly before the Grey Plague wiped out the women. When the Gazumen Empire lost Northern Esterdame in 171AV, Gelgoth approached his father with a plan. It was well known that the limited instances of mating between Dwarves and Humans yielded very hearty human offspring, but the heartiness and limited physical aging before death were the only traits passed on by the Dwarf parent. Gelgoth proposed that he reproduce with as many human women on the island of Priviland as possible in hopes of true Dwarf children being born. In the year 193AV, Zurgoth allowed his son to travel to Priviland, which was still under Gazuman control, and decree that all child-bearing aged women would lay with Gelgoth. There was little resistance, as the population was mostly farmers with no military training, and so over the course of the year, many of the women became pregnant with his children. His experiment however, was a failure. All the children were strong and healthy, but none were Dwarves. In the present, he is in command of the King's vast navy, for which they were once famous. He is famously brash and has an impressive tolerance for alcohol.

Fairoc is a warlock trained in the Elder Force, and an alchemist. He is thousands of years old and comes from a long line of Warlocks. He is charged with protecting the Great Winter Stone. The Great Winter Stone has an unknown origin, but it's power is very clear. The stone, when locked in place in the enchanted projector, casts powerful meteorological magic over a large area. The dwarves thrive in the cold, so when their empire was at it's peak, all of Esterdame was riddled with these stones and projectors. When they lost the Peninsula, the stones were stolen and scattered. Now, the only two known to exist are locked in Ottogar's projector and in Fairoc's staff. He himself is a very enthusiastic individual. He will talk until told to stop. He serves as the King's ambassador to the North.
