King of Thronfeld
The Mute Grand Admiral
Revelhar (Born 150BV) is the current Grand Admiral of the Vieran forces. He is the son and direct successor of Delthar the Fallen. Growing up, he was the best friend of the then Prince Trohduil. In 6BV, he was betrayed, imprisoned and tortured by Trohduil's father Toredenas and his seemingly bewitched allies. His imprisonment, and several other cascading events lead to the Second Vieran Civil War. When he was released in the Year of Victory, he was severely mutilated, which is why he wears the bandana. He was rendered mute by the torture he endured and now he only communicates through signs (the second language of all Vieran). He was promoted by the new King to his father's old post of Grand Admiral and pledged allegiance to his old friend Trohduil.
Since the Year of Victory, Revelhar had two children with his wife and has been in command of the overall defence of Vierathan by sea and land. Here he is pictured with the Palace Guard, which are always by his side. Since their former allies, the Attonights, have turned against them, Revelhar's attention has been held on the disputed lands east of the Giant's Tear and North of the Red Crossing. Attonight raiders constantly seek to pillage Vieran farming villages, so Revelhar has had regiments of warriors established in the nearby wood. Revelhar at the turn of the age and for centuries following was considered the greatest swordsman in Esterdame. However, long have the days of invasion by the Fallen Vieran passed. He has not had much cause to draw his sword since the day he duelled his father. That day, they battled from dusk until dawn until each could barely stand. Delthar was dragged away by his companions as the battle was lost, but Revelhar secretly hopes to face his father again.
