DIGITAL ONLY. Clarence Alphonso Hunt, son of Smith Reed and Jerusha Ann (Dutcher) Hunt, was born 29 Jul 1853 in Ithaca, New York and died 19 Feb 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa. He was married twice. On 18 Oct 1874, in Shell Rock, Iowa, he married Margaret A. “Maggie” (Sahey) Fay (-1893). They had three children: Claude R. (1875-1881), Lulu Maude (1876-1936) and Edward James (1882-1934). In 1893, in Arkansas City, Kansas, he married Nora W. Savage (1872-1964). They had two sons: Smith Reed (1894-1961) and Charles Frederick (1909-2000). Clarence is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.
Carrie Adele Hunt, daughter of Smith Reed and Louise (Muffley) Hunt, was born 30 Sep 1861 in Clarksville, Iowa and died 5 Jan 1903 in Chicago, Illinois. On 23 Jul 1881, in Bremer, Iowa, she married Edward Hyde Curtis (1862-1945). She is buried in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, Iowa. They had two children: Smith Reed (1882-1942) and Louise Beatrice (1887-).
