Fiat Punto
The Fiat Punto is an Italian supermini car that was introduced in 1993, spanning 3 generations.
The third generation of the car was marketed between 2005 and 2009 as the Grande Punto, and between 2009 and 2012 as the Punto Evo.
In 2012, Fiat gave its Punto supermini a last roll of the dice with a package of improvements promising sleeker styling, clever technology and more efficient engines, most notably an innovative twin-cylinder TwinAir petrol unit that at the time was unique in this segment.
Punto Van is a car-derived variant for light use. Fiat has added extra versatility to the model’s sporty style and hatchback handling to make it a tempting proposition for small businesses.
In declining years, production of the three-door configuration ended in 2015, leaving only the five-door configuration available in Europe.
Production of the Punto ended on 7 August 2018, with no direct successor being announced. As a result, the latter was also taken off sale in the UK after 13 years. However, it continued to be produced in India for an additional three months before production ended in November of that year.
