A supreme GWR Castle! ( 7029). As a fireman l left this at Bath rd depot, Bristol , 1964/5 i think? Never thought i would see it again, so i copied by memory in matches! Preserved, Railtour engine now.? Designed/Built by Charles Collett with 6ft-81/2 inch drive wheels, ...Back in the mid 1960s i took dozens and dozens of steam engines away for scrapping,Six at a time,What a din they made deep in the Severn tunnel, but dont remember any castles! where did they end up? only a very few were saved..And why oh why didnt i record all the steam engine numbers i took away from Barrow road.(Bristol)
