Meet Tina Tonleiter, the music teacher of the Crocodile School. I'm going to give her an English name: Tania Tuningfork.
Actually in all the years that she has been standing on the shelf next to my music-stand, I've been calling her "Heilige Intonatia, Schutzpatron der guten Stimmung". That means something like "Saint Intonascia, patron of good vibes" ( I.e. playing in tune! ) However today I did some on-line research and discovered her real identity. Whatever, she will continue to watch over my violin practice and warn me to be careful when I practise my scales and arpeggios!
Für die, die etwas Wienerisch verstehen, Frau Tina Tonleiter sagt vielleicht: "Des G stimmt. Des D stimmt A. Des A stimmt E. Des E stimmt E A."
