Schärding Parish Church
The Parish Church of the town of Schärding reflected in the waters of the River Inn. Taken from the "Innbrück" (Inn Bridge) which here leads from (Upper) Austria to Germany (Bavaria) - and vice versa!
Another shot with a "TOY" lens on a PENTAX Q.
05 TOY LENS TELEPHOTO
18mm f:8 - manual focus, fixed aperture.
Don't look for sharpness - with a toy lens at infinity it just isn't there, but the picture should make for pleasant viewing on full screen at normal viewing distances.
***The PENTAX Q "Toy lenses" are tiny manual-focus primes with a fixed aperture. They were rather misunderstood and never caught on. I think that's a pity. If one takes the trouble, they can give beautiful results. They are not really toys, and are anything but simple to use well. As with any equipment, you have to recognise the possibilities and respect the limitations.***
P.S. If you do dare to zoom in (you do so at your own risk!!!), you'll make out a flock of pigeons on the church roof. They breed in an empty basement in a house on the other side of the alley. My photo "A curious visitor" shows the window where they go in and out. You can see it in my Album "Window Wednesdays".
