On the banks of the River Inn
Looking over to Austria from Vornbach (Bavaria) towards Schärding (see the bridge in the background).
PENTAX Q
PENTAX-04 TOY LENS WIDE 6.3mm f:7.1
The PENTAX Q "Toy lenses" are tiny manual-focus primes with a fixed aperture. They were rather misunderstood and never caught on. I think that's a pity. If one takes the trouble, they can give beautiful results. They are NOT toys, and are anything but simple to use well. As with any equipment, you have to recognise the possibilities and respect the limitations.
This moderate wide-angle has an angle of view equivalent to that of a 35mm lens on a "full format" sensor. With its aperture fixed at f:7.1 it can successfully be used as a pan-focus lens. I recently discovered that it can produce extraordinary flares.
