Part 1, Shallow DoF, F1.8

Used lens is Sony SEL50F18/b, is a 50mm, F1.8 lens, shot was at camera, closet I could get to ruler while AutoFocus was still workingfor thinest DoF possible since 50mm on ASPC was a pretty tight crop was about 16 inches, about 40.64cm (wait a second, advertisement and lens says 33cm is minimum focus point...) I focused/tried to center on the 25cm line.

Since N = f/1.4, f= 50. U=406mm; C = 0.018 , and equation is (2CNU^2)/(F^2)= DOF, i got DOF = 4.5mm, and since ruler is supposed to be at 45 degrees, sqrt(2)*4.5 = 6.37mm. I would say that is pretty close because neither the two lines above and below 25cm line are clear (meaning less than 1cm is clear).

For calculated value, the lines on the inch side are clear from 9& 3/4 to 10 (in my opinion, the latter half of 0 in 10 is not clear when zoomed in on camera). The difference between 10 in and 9.75 in is 0.25 in. 0.25 in is 6.35 in, which is pretty close to calculated value.
