雄飛滝の滝棚は柱状節理で形成されてます。滝は二段に分かれており, 写真は上段部の滝で約20ｍの落差が有ります。この滝は正面から写すのが難しく,その代わり, 滝の直ぐ至近の横側に身を置く事が出来ます。なお, 伊豆半島の殆どの滝は火山の産物です。
