Le hameau de Longuerac - The hamlet of Longuerac
Le hameau est situé le bordage du marais et le long de La Douve.
En période hivernale, le fleuve et les champs disparaissent sous les eaux.
Jadis, il était peuplé d'éleveurs d'oies et de pêcheurs d’anguilles.
L'ancien port offrait une étape à la flotille des gabares (bateaux à fond plat).
Le hameau doit son nom à la longue retenue d'eaux boueuses (la « raque ») qu'entretenaient plusieurs pêcheries.
Aujourd'hui ce site est apprécié des pêcheurs.
