Catamaran
A Patrol-Torpedo variant of the Amphibious Attack Boat. This variant of the AAB is powered by a pair of gasoline engines, more reliable on the high seas than their more futuristic counterparts. The engines drive a pair of screws at the rear of the boat, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 41 knots. The boat is armed with a pair of 533mm torpedos, as well as a pair of limited traverse machine guns. The boat is also equipped with a single deployable Gunship-Class Light Amphibious Frame. This variant of the Gunship is equipped with composite armor, enhanced propulsion and maneuvering systems, and a quad large bore heavy machine gun mount setup. Boats like these are often used to patrol coasts and claimed waters while based on an Amphibious Transport Dock. The boats can also be converted to hover propulsion to allow for amphibious operations and can be equipped with missiles, on both naval and amphibious variants.
