Summer Milkyway with saturn over Mt. Dachstein Glacier (Explored Jan 5, 2021)
This photo was taken during a trip in the mountains and has been planned a few months in advance. I wanted to capture in one photo both the mighty mountains and the beautiful Milky Way that reveals itself vertically above the horizon during summer.
On one of the nights I was lucky enough with the weather and managed to expose this scene 15 minutes.
The summit of Mt. Dachstein - height of 2,995m / 9,800ft., always under a blanket of snow - was literally reaching for the stars that night.
