Lingon i en flaska - Lingonberries in a Bottle
”Looking close… on Friday!” On theme in ”In a Bottle”
It's actually an old preservation method from before freezers and access to expensive sugar were available. You filled bottles with cleaned and rinsed lingonberries and then poured boiled and cooled water all the way to the top so that the lingonberries were covered. Then they were left to stand in a dark and cool place for at least a month. When you use the lingonberries, you strain the water. It's a method that works just as well today and it's just as delicious. Det kallas ”vattlingon”

Det är faktiskt en gammal konserveringsmetod innan man hade frysar och tillgång på socker som var dyrt. Man fyllde flaskor med rensade och sköljda lingon och hällde sedan kokt och avsvalnat vatten ända upp så att lingonen täcktes. Sedan fick de stå mörkt och svalt i minst en månad. När man använder lingonen silar man bort vattnet. Det är en metod som fungera lika bra idag och det blir så gott. It´s called ”vattlingon”
