Driver beware
Colas' grid 56090 powers over Green Lane level crossing approaching Marchington, Staffordshire, on a 6.5.22 Derby Chaddesden Sidings to Longport LR Colas working.
You don’t get many drivers down Green Lane with the wonky-planted sign confirming a risk of grounding over the level crossing but you are more likely to damage your car’s suspension as it is 50% road and 50% pothole from the one time I cycled down here (I now just walk).
Weirdly though for such a quiet spot, in my 30 minutes at the crossing, I did see a van and trailer use the crossing (some work is being undertaken in a field just over the crossing) plus a couple of cars with Network Rail workers and 4 walkers.
