Due to a dispute over driver only operation on the Bedford to St. Pancras route, newly built class 317 emus were stored at Nottingham. 28th April 1982 sees 317329 at a platform of Nottingham parcels depot, which was formerly the G.N.R. London Road Low Level station. The building is now a gymnasium.
