Jupiter, Saturn and a faint Great Rift region of the Milky Way above upper Vartry reservoir

This stacked picture was taken right after midnight on July 17, 2020 in the southern sky above upper Vartry reservoir in Wicklow Mountains. This is Class 4 Bortle magnitude sky with light pollution coming from Wicklow and Arklow towns so the contrast is rather poor.

 

Shot on Sony A6000 with Samyang 12mm F2.0 mounted on Slik Pro 700DX tripod.

Background sky: 10 x 8s F2.8 ISO5000.

Foreground: 2 x 8s F5.6 ISO500 with light painting.

Processed in Darktable, Sequator and GIMP.
