Rag Quilt

This was cobbled together from a bunch of scrappy bits, all flannel. I think they go together quite nicely. I added some purple flowers on top of the plain white to spice it up.

Rag quilts are the only type that I am willing to quilt under my domestic machine. I can piece and quilt it in a week or two, and I get a very practical, easy to care for quilt. This is probably the 5th one I've made? The rest were for me or family/friends. This quilt will be donated.

The stage I like least is the clipping phase. That usually takes a few days because it's very hard on the hands. Probably why I haven't made too many.

I usually do the first wash and dry at a laundromat because its very linty at first.
