Strip Quilts
I call these my 'everything but the kitchen sink' quilts. I use whatever I have on hand, whether it gels or not (bright vs. dark, bright vs muted, etc). I do try not to put the same colour or fabric next to each other. Other than that, it's all fair game and cuts down the scrap box like a hot damn. There are 8 quilts total.
These are also really great quilts for practicing free motion. On some I did an all over design. On others I used 1 or multiple strips to do a different design on, treating each unit like a border. A lot of my ideas came from Leah Day's '365 Free Motion Quilting Designs' or from Angela Walters. Other ideas came from pinterest, a few were my own ideas or variations.
