Mermaid Baby Quilt

I'm extremely proud of this one! I cobbled it together from scraps from another quilt. The scraps sat in a plastic bag for more than a year because I just couldn't figure out what to do. Finally I resolved that I was going to use them or throw them away. They were in odd dimensions, mostly strips (most of different widths). I improvised the quilt over a few days, and basically didn't have any fabric left. You can see where I had to piece a few bits of the same fabric to make it work.

 

I wanted the quilting to look very wavy. I used a couple different colors from cones that were getting low.
