Apparition or a lady in distress...

Neither actually....I was taking photos from different angles of this bridge across the River Trent at Wilford in Nottingham and had my camera mounted on a tripod. This runner came bearing down on me and was so fast that I stood stock still as stepping either right or left could have caused a collision. The runner panted past me with a quick "excuse me " and on he went....Yes it was a man and to this day I have not the slightest idea how he came to appear as a woman in a red dress honestly. I have the same shot processed in b&w but actually either in colour or b&w both fill me with a sense of unease that I can't throw off. I find it compelling at the same time though......

Btw..this was taken set to manual at 24mm f11 and rather than a high iso was taken on a wired cable release and as it was dark was a fairly long exposure 15 seconds actually - hence the movement. I always hoped to get someone walking across the bridge as it can be quite a busy place but was happy with the running man and the effect it had, making him appear quite spectral. The LE blew the left hand light where a lamppost out of shot lit up one side of the bridge as you can see by the shadows it threw across to left hand railing's and by the light hitting the brickwork :)
