Forest of Warmth
Captured during a crisp autumn day at Portland’s Hoyt Arboretum, this photograph radiates warmth and tranquility, offering a comforting contrast to the current winter’s chill. The arboretum, a living museum founded in 1928, spans 189 acres and showcases over 2,300 tree species from six continents, making it a haven for nature lovers year-round. Its 12 miles of trails wind through diverse landscapes, from towering redwoods to vibrant dogwoods. My goal with this photo was to try and capture a magical and warm feeling when viewed, a reflection of the beauty and serenity this remarkable place offers in every season.
