Newport Beach On New Year’s Day, 2023

We froze our butts off during a brief trip to Newport Beach early this afternoon; it was in the 50s (not too bad), but with heavy winds, and even mild sandstorms. The wind chill made it feel closer to freezing. We didn’t stay long (and no swimming, either!). The last photo was of mini sand dunes forming on the beach; looked like a photo from Mars orbit.
