Celebrating our 19th anniversary, we went to our honeymoon site, Catalina Island. Stayed at the Metropole Hotel, visited the JAWS and Houdini exhibits at the Catalina Island museum, went parasailing and we saw wild buffalo and deer. Good times!

Fake bison at Long Beach harbor...soon we’d see plenty of the real thing.
Hotel Metropole lobby
The view from our room
Catalina Island Museum, in the port city of Avalon.
Almost there...
In the atrium of the museum...
Beautiful recreation of “Bruce” the shark, by makeup artist/producer/director Greg Nicotero (“The Walking Dead” “Day of the Dead”).
Amazingly lifelike mannequins of JAWS stars Robert Shaw (“Quint”), Roy Scheider (“Chief Martin Brody”), and Richard Dreyfus (“Matt Hooper”)
The actual barrels and cage used in the film!!
An oxygen tank and a piece of sonar tracking equipment from JAWS; these are ACTUAL props in the movie...!
Pretty obvious that JAWS is one of our favorite movies of all time...
Just when you thought it was safe to go to the museum...
