Catalina Island day trip, July 11th, 2023
The historic casino/theater/museum, built in 1929 and it's just loaded with lovely Art Deco interiors. We'd walked by the museum many times on prior visits, but this was the first time in 26 years of visiting the island where we finally saw the inside, which was finally open for self-guided tours.
This was the large, beautifully-appointed theater. The Venus artwork was arcing over the stage/screen. Just beautiful. Such strong historical vibes everywhere in this place! I would love to watch a movie here sometime, simply for the experience.
