Writer/actor/director Tom Holland, who cowrote the screenplays for "Psycho II" (an underrated sequel to Hitchcock's classic), "Fright Night" and "Child's Play."
An architect of 1980s horror, we had a nice chat regarding "Psycho II" (1983) which I remember seeing theatrically twice as a teenager (the first was to see what if it could be pulled off successfully, and the second was to simply enjoy it). He half-kiddingly told me that Quentin Tarantino once said that "Psycho II" was better than the original, but, as Holland laughed, "What the hell does he know, right?" I bought a copy of his book, "Oh Mother, What Have You Done? The Making of Psycho II," coauthored with "Psycho II" director Richard Franklin, and Andrew London. I liked this guy!
