Oscar-nominated actress Barbara Hershey ("The Right Stuff," "Beaches," "Hannah and Her Sisters," "Last Temptation of Christ,") signing an autograph from "Last Temptation..."

Hershey and I had a nice conversation about her pride in that film, and neither of us understood the backlash it received from fundamentalists (most of whom never saw it, in fact). She told me that "Marty" Scorsese (the director) was a devout Catholic, in fact. I also told her that I had to cross a line of protesters when I saw the movie in Century City back in 1988.
