"Space: 1999" in-camera practical FX.
A friend of mine recently sent me a 5"/13 cm Space: 1999 "Eagle transporter" toy, which I used to make a few in-camera lunar orbit shots. No CGI or photoshopping; just a pen light for matching shadows, lunar backgrounds projected on a large iPad, and a tiny plastic cable for support. The results were surprisingly effective, almost recapturing the look of mid-1970s TV FX work on a nothing budget.
